Volunteer Opportunity for Canyon County Organization on Aging (CCOA)

CCOA always needs people to drive seniors to doctor appointments in Boise, Nampa , and Meridian.  The volunteers will need a current drivers license and Automobile insurance, and will be reimbursed for mileage.

There are several fund raisers coming up and CCOA can always use extra hands.  Future events include an Active life Expo (like a health fair) on May 12,  a golf tournament August 6 at Purple Sage golf course, and the raffle of a children’s play house at different local stores and fairs this spring and summer.

Student-to-Student Incivility Study

E-mail Print PDF
SNA is asking for your participation in a very important study. This is a student driven research project and we would like to start collecting surveys immediately.

Incivility in nursing education is a growing concern and is defined as rude or disruptive behavior that when left unaddressed, may progress into threatening situations. Student-to-student incivility has not been empirically investigated though anecdotal information suggests that some students are quite uncivil to other students. The purpose of this study is to gather nursing students' perceptions of incivility and disruptive behaviors toward other students, the impact of the uncivil encounters on students, and students' responses.

This survey is completely anonymous and takes about 10 minutes to complete depending on the length of your narrative responses. This study has been approved by the Institutional Review Board at Boise State University. The goals and rationale for the survey are presented in the first page of the survey. Your honest and open responses are important to us and all responses will be reported as aggregate (group) data.

Your participation is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us directly.

     April 26th (Sunday)   7-12 am

We are going to need student assist to collect   Blood Pressure   Height   Weight  on a total of 200 participants. Additionally, we are going to need assistance helping ensure participants successfully transition through all the data collection pieces and complete survey instruments.  Being bilingual would be a plus but NOT required....

We are hoping it won't take the full 5 hours each session but this also includes set up and tear down time.

Students can help with any or all of the sessions as they desire or time allows.
