SNA is asking for your participation in a very important study. This is a student driven research project and we would like to start collecting surveys immediately.
Incivility in nursing education is a growing concern and is defined as rude or disruptive behavior that when left unaddressed, may progress into threatening situations. Student-to-student incivility has not been empirically investigated though anecdotal information suggests that some students are quite uncivil to other students. The purpose of this study is to gather nursing students' perceptions of incivility and disruptive behaviors toward other students, the impact of the uncivil encounters on students, and students' responses.
This survey is completely anonymous and takes about 10 minutes to complete depending on the length of your narrative responses. This study has been approved by the Institutional Review Board at Boise State University. The goals and rationale for the survey are presented in the first page of the survey. Your honest and open responses are important to us and all responses will be reported as aggregate (group) data.
