| About Me: I am currently a 7th semester student in the BSN program. I was the SNA's secretary last year and have enjoyed my active roles with the SNA at Boise State. I am originally from Wisconsin and moved to Idaho a little over 3 years ago. Although I miss my runs along the shores of Lake Michigan, I have been enjoying the mild winters and warm, dry summers that Idaho has to offer. I enjoy running, tennis, sailing, hiking, camping, fly fishing, and spending time with my husband, Nathan, and two yellow labs, Bosco and George. I am looking forward to all of the great activities and opportunities the SNA at Boise State has planned for the spring 2011 semester!! |

| About Me: I am a 5th semester nursing student! This is my first year as a member of the wonderful SNA :). I am also the webmaster for the SNA and Volunteer Coordinator. I am also on the Scholarship Committee for the School of Nursing. I work at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center as a CAP2 (Nurse's Aide) in the Clinical Support Unit (float pool). I've worked there going on 4 years. I'm also a combat medic for the Idaho Army National Guard. I've been in the service going on 3 years. I grew up around the health care field and nursing became my dream job after I graduated high school. When I'm not busy with school, work, or the Army--I love to watch movies, work out, be outdoors, and spend time with my boyfriend. I have 2 wonderful kids--Sadie and Ted (my small dogs), and then Cleo, my cat. Well, I am very excited for this year. We have some wonderful opportunities planned. I look forward to meeting everyone! |

| About Me: I grew up in a medical family and am beginning my 2nd career after spending 17 years in specialty pharmaceutical sales selling to surgeons, anesthesiologists, the ER and ICU nurses. I'm in my 6th semester of nursing school and absolutely love medicine. I am passionate about being immersed in school activities, research and especially working with pre-nursing students. When I'm not studying, I'm sailing during the summer and skiing in the winter. I also have an 19 year old son who is in the Marine Corps and venturing into his own journey. One day, I hope to be working in Trauma, the ER or ICU and eventually teaching as a professor at BSU. |

| About Me: I will be a 7th semester nursing student this coming Spring 2011, and am prepared to graduate next December. I am very dedicated to my schooling and love to learn! I enjoy spending my free time working out, hanging out with my friends and family, playing the guitar, and dancing for fun. I have wanted to be a nurse as early as I can remember. I received my CNA in highschool my Junior year and have been working in the healthcare field for the past 7 years. I have worked at St. Luke’s, Boise in Labor and Delivery for the past 3 years and I love my job! I hope to gain a few years experience on a medical surgery floor for a few years after I graduate, then go on to specialize in L&D, NICU, or work in the E.D. I am eager to begin my career as a nurse and hope to finish strong in my last year in school. I am happy to be a part of such a great organization and look forward to all of the new found friendships, networking alliances, community involvements, education possibilities, and volunteer prospects the SNA has to offer for a wonderful year to come! |
